Ann Marie Paulie: WISH Trip, Day 6

Day 6, December 11, was our second day at Universal.

At Toys R Us after Halloween I found this Minion costume on sale for $3...yes, THREE dollars! Best $3 ever spent!

I took her pic and she chose the pose and eyes. ;) She really owned her role as a silly minion. :)

As you've noticed, we ate at the GKTW ice cream parlor daily. Well, they say you must eat ice cream for breakfast while there at least once, so we followed orders. ;)

When we arrived at Universal, we rode the Minion ride first.

The minion ride was so much fun! Annie couldn't sit in the seats that moved, but she still moved alright! The 3D was so realistic that she moved right along with the ride! :) The story on the ride was that it was the girls' first adoptionversary. I had to fight tears the whole time!

Meeting a Minion

I wish Universal would have had these borders as optional...oh well...

There was a CM there that helped us around. He told us that because they had the Macy's Parade there that the usual parade wouldn't come. Because of this, they had mini parades throughout the day. We were able to catch the Despicable Me "parade."

Then it was time to meet the characters. Annie had a minion personally escort her to the front of each line. :)

Notice the minion on the right? Gru hit her with his scarf and she reacted perfectly. :)

Margo loved that Annie had to put her arm around her. :)

We love Shrek!

We walked past the transformers when we were there on the 7th and Annie was terrified. After seeing all the Disney character, she was no longer afraid. She still talks about Optimus Prime. :)

Before I got the minion costume, I had planned for her to wear her SuperGirl costume to meet Captain America at Universal. I'm so glad I brought both costumes!

Daddy insisted on eating at Krusty Burger. We are not Simpsons fan at all, but we have seen episodes so it was still fun to see it all.

We don't drink either, but it was still fun to see Duff Man

We had no desire to meet a Simpson's character, especially Side Show Bob, but after Disney Annie was all into meeting characters. :)

For being a villain, he sure was sweet to Annie :)

Next we rode the ET ride. I loved ET as a kid so I was excited!

So stinkin' cute!

One of the CMs on the ride gave her the button that reads, "Forrest Ranger of the Day." :) I was going to get her this super cute ET, but she chose this mini one. :) It happened to be magnetic. :)

To get to the other park where the heroes were, we had to take the Hogwarts Express. Darn. ;)

Before boarding the train, we made a bathroom break.

Notice the kid in our shot? His mom was right there. How rude! We kept trying to get shots hoping she'd do something, but she never did. When it was her turn to take pics, there was no one around. SMH She could have least given us the same decency.

We headed to King's Cross and I couldn't find my wallet. I dropped my bag for Paul to search while I ran (literally) back to the area by the bathroom to look for it. I couldn't find it. Besides my licence and other cards, my wallet held my phone and our Disney Photopass. ALL of our pics taken by Disney and the ones I took on my phone were GONE. I am pretty good about controlling my emotions but I was having trouble. I held it together until Paul came into view and I mimed "did you find it?" He shook his head. I lost it. (Pictures are worth more to me than anything on this earth!) Thankfully I was wearing sunglasses. I got back to my bag and looked one more time hoping Paul missed something. There it was, on top of everything! WHAT?! Turns out Paul didn't even look in my bag! I felt foolish but even more relieved!

Time to board the Hogwarts Express!

On our way to find the superheros, I stopped in Hogsmeade to get a Butterbeer. :)

A CM found us and told us the heroes would be back. He asked if he could help us out! SURE!

He stopped the Green Goblin mid run so her could come meet Annie. :)

The CM also had us wait so we could see Captain America again since our first meet and greet was too quick. :)

We had this Minion thermos that Paul put in the bag to avoid having to carry it. It looked like he was sneaking a minion out of the park. :)

The heroes are back!

Meet and Greet part 2

Cap got Annie to Pinky Promise. :) I don't remember what, but she promised. lol

Superman and Captain America are Annie's favorites, but the CM took her to meet other heroes too. :)

Spidey ended up being a highlight!

He signed something special for her, addressing it to his Superhero Princess. :)

We were going to just leave the park, but we wanted to see what the train show looked like going the other way. So we jumped on the Hogwarts express and went home from the other park. We weren't disappointed. :) I really wasn't because I got to get another glass of Butterbeer (#4 of our trip! lol It's sooooo amazing!)! ;)

As you have seen, our days were jam packed! I had multiple things planned a day, and we were able to stay on schedule daily! Until this day. We needed to be back at GKTW for their weekly Christmas party. When we left the park, we hit traffic for the first time all week. When we finally arrived to the party 1.5 hours late, I was heart broken. Once a year, Disney characters come to the party (we had no idea, it was a surprise!). By the time we got there, they were packing up to leave. Thankfully we got to meet a few of them, but I really wish we could have missed traffic and had been there at the start of the party.
